About The Position

Thermo King West is hiring a Thermo King Service Technician for its Horizon City, Texas location. Technician level and pay grade depend on experience, with a career path from Apprentice Technician through Master Technician; specialty certifications may also be available.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card if required.
Ability to meet insurability standards for various dealer vehicles.
Successful completion of all pre-employment screening.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Ability to travel as required for training or to meet customer needs.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of mechanical, transport refrigeration, and/or electrical systems; training may be provided.
Experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment repair, light-duty mechanics, or heavy wheel mechanics.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Related vocational or technical training.
Valid EPA 608 Type II and 609 certifications.
A complete set of quality hand tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose transport temperature equipment and perform necessary repairs efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on transport temperature-control equipment.
Install transport temperature-control equipment according to Thermo King specifications.
Install, repair, and service Auxiliary Power Units.
Maintain current knowledge of Thermo King products, service bulletins, and campaigns.
Follow dealer and Thermo King standards and work procedures.
Maintain the required CERTI-TECH certification level and participate in required training.
Protect dealer and Thermo King confidential information.
Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
Complete paperwork required by the dealership and Thermo King.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
