About The Position

The Therapy Aide provides supportive services under the direct supervision of a licensed or registered therapist. Duties include patient-related and non-patient-related tasks based on competency and completed training. Patient-related tasks may include transporting and preparing patients, assisting with patient care, and assisting with prescribed modalities and procedures when delegated by the primary therapist of the same discipline. Non-patient-related tasks include maintaining the treatment area, monitoring equipment and supplies, and performing clerical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.
• Minimum computer competency, including working knowledge of Windows or a comparable system and keyboard and mouse skills.
• As applicable to job duties, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation development, email, browsers, and online reporting.
• Basic Life Support certification upon hire; certification must be the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider type.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with treatment setup and cleanup under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Assist management and management support staff with coordination of patient care.
• Assist with documentation coordination and clerical duties.
• Prepare, maintain, and clean treatment areas; order and monitor equipment; and follow up with therapists or management on incomplete tasks as appropriate.
• Prepare and transport patients as assigned.
• Assist with group treatment as assigned or requested.
• Perform scheduling and front-office tasks.
• Perform other related duties, including orientation to new tasks or areas and special projects.
