The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping move donations efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The role reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand Goodwill’s mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody its core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. The position has performance-based pay levels tied to pieces processed per hour (PPH). Training pay is listed as $11 per hour for production below 80 PPH, with four weeks to reach 80 PPH and management coaching and support if needed. If the goal remains unmet after eight weeks and no qualifying open position is available, termination may be considered, although transitioning the employee to an available position is the primary aim where possible. Reaching 80–90 PPH increases the rate to $15 per hour. Level 3 performers processing 91–110 PPH can earn $16 per hour after a three-week average of at least 91 PPH; Level 4 performers processing 111–130+ PPH can earn $17 per hour after a three-week average of at least 111 PPH. High performers must maintain their production level; a three-week improvement period applies if PPH falls below it. Daily PPH recording is mandatory and failure to record may affect pay. Z-racks count as 100 pieces per rack.
