The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping move donations efficiently from the drive-through to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The role reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand Goodwill’s mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody the company’s core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. Pay is performance-based and tied to processing speed. The training level pays $11 per hour while the employee works toward a rate of 80 pieces per hour (PPH), with four weeks to reach that goal. At 80–90 PPH, pay increases to $15 per hour. Level 3 performers processing 91–110 PPH earn $16 per hour after maintaining an average of at least 91 PPH for three weeks. Level 4 performers processing 111–130+ PPH earn $17 per hour after maintaining an average of at least 111 PPH for three weeks. Employees are expected to maintain the PPH standard for their pay level; improvement periods, coaching, performance discussions, and pay adjustments may apply if performance falls below the applicable standard. Daily PPH recording is mandatory and may affect pay if not completed. Z-racks are counted as 100 pieces per rack.
