About The Position

GNC is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to create a welcoming shopping experience and help customers identify products that fit their needs and goals. The role represents GNC’s “Live Well” philosophy and brand, while supporting store sales, productivity, and day-to-day operations. Associates advise customers, recommend and sell products, fulfill online orders, restock merchandise, maintain visual merchandising, and perform cleaning duties. They also support store management with opening and closing, cash handling, inventory counts, deposits, and store appearance. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include mornings or nights, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.

The job involves standing or walking for up to eight hours a day; frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand motions; and lifting, pushing, or pulling items. Associates may use a computer for up to 60% of the day and work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stock-room areas. Eligible Distribution Center team members may qualify for performance-based incentive pay; the posting does not specify that this incentive applies to store Sales Associates.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Able to frequently reach, bend, twist, and perform repetitive hand-to-finger motions.
• Able to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds; able to push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and reach and bend.
• Able to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees.
• Able to use a computer for up to 60% of the day.
• Able to work varied hours and days, including mornings or nights, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
• Able to interact with customers and make product recommendations based on their needs and product knowledge.

• Work toward achieving and exceeding store and personal sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and on time in accordance with company guidelines.
• Learn product features, advantages, and benefits, and keep informed about nutrition, wellness, and fitness news.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising, and perform cleaning duties when not serving customers.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and operating the store, including cash handling, inventory counts, deposits, and maintaining store appearance.
• Promote GNC’s “Live Well” message and represent the GNC brand.
