About The Position

ITW is seeking a summer Textile Engineer Intern for its Texwipe business unit. Texwipe is a contamination-control company that develops cleanroom consumable products and wiper technology. The internship offers experience across a range of operational areas and topics, with the intern presenting their projects to the team at the end of the summer. The position will last approximately 10–12 weeks, with timing to be determined with the selected candidate and the R&D team. Limited travel to suppliers is expected.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in textile engineering or another related field.
• Strong leadership, data analytics, organizational, interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Nice To Haves

• Ideally targeting graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

Responsibilities

• Improve textile manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Implement lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with Texwipe specifications and standards.
• Maintain detailed records of process improvement suggestions, troubleshooting activities, and quality control measures, and prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new textile products and innovative manufacturing techniques.
• Review and confirm current material setup.
• Analyze textile manufacturing processes and provide a summary report of findings.
