About The Position

The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping move donations efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The position reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand Goodwill’s mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody its core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. The role has production-based pay levels tied to pieces processed per hour. Training pay is $11 per hour below 80 pieces per hour, with four weeks to reach the 80-piece goal and coaching support if needed. Reaching 80–90 pieces per hour raises the rate to $15 per hour. Rates increase to $16 per hour for a three-week average of at least 91 pieces per hour, and to $17 per hour for a three-week average of at least 111 pieces per hour. High performers must maintain the applicable production level; improvement periods and performance discussions or pay adjustments may follow if production falls below it. Daily recording of pieces per hour is mandatory. Pay rates may differ based on state minimum wage regulations or the prevailing local rate.
