About The Position
Trupanion is seeking a Territory Partner to serve as an Independent Business Owner representing Trupanion within the North Detroit Market. This role is not a franchise or brokerage and does not require a brick-and-mortar operation. Trupanion has experienced consistent growth, attributed to its unique pet insurance approach with no payout limits and coverage for chronic, congenital, and hereditary conditions. Their patented in-hospital software allows for rapid claim processing and payment. Unlike competitors, Trupanion owns its brand, avoiding royalty fees. The company boasts a high monthly retention rate and offers a month-to-month policy structure. Territory Partners are crucial for expanding Trupanion's network and increasing direct marketing to veterinarians. They act as consultants and exclusive representatives, building relationships with veterinary hospitals to educate staff on the benefits of Trupanion insurance for their practice, pets, and owners.
Requirements
- Reside in the North Detroit Metro Area.
- Available to dedicate 40 hours a week to building your business.
- Contingent on successfully obtaining a Property and Casualty license in Michigan.
- Background in sales, business ownership, and/or veterinary industry.
- Drive and motivation to build a business from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an Independent Business Owner contracted to represent Trupanion within the North Detroit Market.
- Act as a consultant to Trupanion and the exclusive representative for their pet health insurance product.
- Build relationships and educate veterinarians, vet techs, and office staff about Trupanion's benefits.
- Increase the number of hospitals that actively introduce Trupanion to their clients through direct marketing.
