About The Position

The Department of Accountancy at Gies Business is a world leader in research, teaching, and public engagement. Tenure-track faculty conduct leading-edge accounting research, deliver an engaging classroom experience, and provide support and leadership within the department and accounting academic community. The Department of Accountancy offers a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Master of Accounting Science, Master of Science in Accountancy (available both in-person and online), and a PhD in Accountancy. Renowned for its leadership in data analytics, the Department is home to the University of Illinois-Deloitte Foundation Center for Business Emerging Technologies, which develops and disseminates cutting-edge curricula to faculty, students, and professionals globally. Requirements

PhD degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related fields (for advanced ranks).
Must possess or be near completion of a PhD degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related fields (for assistant professor).
Strong research.
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Leadership potential commensurate with the position sought.

Responsibilities

Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Conduct research in Accountancy.
Provide leadership in the department, the university and in the Accountancy discipline (for senior faculty).
