About The Position

The successful candidate will teach up to five courses a year in our accountancy program including introductory and advanced courses both in person and online. The position also includes mentoring students and developing and maintaining a research agenda aligned with AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) standards. The successful candidate will be expected to publish research related to the discipline. Service to the department, college, university, and profession will also be an important part of the position.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Accounting or Business with an accounting emphasis/concentration/major from an AACSB accredited program (ABD will be considered provided degree will be conferred prior start date).
Evidence of quality teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
Evidence of scholarly research activity commensurate with experience.
Evidence in support of AACSB Faculty Qualification standards for Scholarly Academic (SA).
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
Ability to teach, inspire, and mentor students.
Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues within and outside of the Herr school of Accountancy.
Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Competence in using technology and ability to adopt new tools for both on-campus and online course delivery.
Verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
