About The Position

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a 5G Network Integration Lead to join our team in support of the Army TEN-M program. This is a remote position and requires 25% to 50% travel; you must reside within a 50-mile radius of a major airport.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 15+ years of network configuration management experience with emphasis on 5G technologies and understanding of the duties as described above
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activation of newly deployed fiber routes and their integration into the existing optical transport network.
  • Configure and integrates 5G Core network functions, transport systems, and IP network infrastructure.
  • Manage DWDM and ROADM configuration, optical power alignment, transponder turn up, and end to end lightpath provisioning.
  • Coordinate closely with construction, OSP, QA/QC, and NOC teams to ensure the fiber plant is validated, optical equipment is correctly tuned, and all services are brought online with proper documentation and minimal service impact.
  • Validate interfaces between network components and Government systems, performs system acceptance testing, executes troubleshooting activities, captures logs and packet traces, and supports optimization and closeout activities.
  • Develop integration procedures, validates interoperability between vendor platforms, and ensures compliance with customer security and operational requirements.
