About The Position

The Temporary Associate serves as a trusted, knowledgeable advisor who helps customers select products suited to their aesthetic and lifestyle. The role involves helping customers discover and express their personal style and showing them how to incorporate Kate Spade products into their existing wardrobe. The associate supports customer engagement and styling, sales, and operational excellence in a retail environment. The job description notes that its list of duties is not exhaustive.

Requirements

Professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
Prior experience in a retail environment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
English proficiency, or local-language proficiency as required by the market.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
Listen actively and ask follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
Provide styling advice, suggest add-ons, and create complete looks.
Show customers multiple ways to wear products and encourage exploration of new styles.
Guide customers through purchase decisions and provide a seamless checkout experience.
Reinforce and celebrate customer choices and invite customers to return.
Drive results through customer connections and storytelling.
Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and product attributes across all categories.
Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
Give and receive feedback in an honest, constructive manner.
