About The Position

Talbots is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Support associate for its Salt Lake City–Murray store. The role supports customers and the management team by providing helpful, engaging service, promoting products, building customer relationships, and contributing to store sales and service goals. The associate also completes assigned operational work, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.

Requirements

• Demonstrated selling competence and styling expertise, with an interest in fashion.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
• Technological competency using a computer, iPad, or handheld system.

• Ability to climb ladders, move around regularly, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and to lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers warmly as a greeter and/or answer the phone.
• Take an active role in assisting the management team with building store business.
• Support service activities that help build strong customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers and handle simultaneous tasks or projects.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and style.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customer needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to improve performance.
• Support sales and service metrics, including client outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
