About The Position

Talbots is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Support associate for its Salt Lake City–Murray store. The role supports a positive customer experience and store business by welcoming customers, assisting with sales and styling, building customer relationships, helping the management team, and completing operational projects. Associates are expected to work cooperatively in a team, learn about products and fashion trends, and contribute to sales and service goals. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as standing and moving around regularly and handling merchandise weighing at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional, meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers warmly as a greeter and/or answer the phone.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Support service enhancers that build strong customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers, multitask, and handle projects simultaneously.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize performance.
• Support sales and service metrics, including clienteling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
