Part Time Teller

About The Position

Landmark Credit Union is seeking a part-time Teller to provide accurate transactional services to members, including receiving and paying out funds in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. The Teller presents and explains a basic range of credit union products and services and represents the credit union positively and professionally. This 25–28-hour-per-week position involves varying weekday shifts and every Saturday. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM; and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience with, or ability to gain proficiency in, all programs and systems used for the job.
Ability to develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures relevant to the position and comply with company policies, procedures, and job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service.
Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt teller and related services, maintaining a balanced cash drawer daily.
Cross-sell other member services.
Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
May assist with balancing the ATM if this is not handled by an outside source.
May train to perform opening and closing duties with a manager on site.
May train to verify checks for other tellers.
May train to perform overrides.
May be cross-trained to assist in other branch positions.
May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
Perform other duties as assigned.
