About The Position

Ion Bank is seeking a part-time Teller to provide superior customer service while processing customer transactions and performing daily retail banking functions accurately and efficiently. The Teller should have a working knowledge of bank products and services, actively cross-sell products and services, make appropriate referrals, and comply with applicable banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures. The role involves providing friendly, personalized service, building rapport with customers, and recognizing and meeting their banking needs. The Teller performs and balances financial transactions, participates in consultative sales, protects customer and Bank information and assets, and carries out additional assigned duties. The position is hourly and scheduled for 28 hours.

Requirements

One year of customer service and/or cash handling experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure company service standards are continually achieved in areas of responsibility.
Process customer financial transactions accurately, efficiently, and courteously.
Establish an open dialogue with customers to cross-sell Bank products and services and make referrals to appropriate parties while maintaining the Bank’s privacy standards.
Contribute to established branch goals by recognizing and acting upon sales and referral opportunities.
Recognize and adequately report fraudulent, counterfeit, or suspicious activity by customers or employees to the Security Department.
Maintain a safe and secure working environment by adhering to established security procedures.
Maintain authorized cash supply.
Accurately balance the teller window and/or ATM machine daily.
Work within the framework of the Bank’s security policy and program and loss prevention guidelines.
Accurately complete forms, applications, and reports in accordance with procedures.
Maintain and apply working knowledge of applicable banking regulations.
Keep customer and proprietary Bank and customer information and assets safe and secure.
Perform additionally assigned duties.
