About The Position

As an Altana FCU Teller, you are a welcoming point of contact who builds connections with members and supports their financial well-being. You process day-to-day transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, while providing friendly, solution-focused service. You also support branch operations by balancing the ATM, processing night drop and mail, scanning documents, and managing coin bags. The role calls for accurate, professional service and careful adherence to security, privacy, and compliance guidelines.

Requirements

• Up to 12 months of teller or cash-handling experience.
• Basic understanding of banking operations.
• Strong analytical skills to help resolve member concerns.
• Ability to use office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both in person and in writing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team-centered environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, accurate, and efficient service for deposits, withdrawals, payments, and member inquiries.
• Stay informed about credit union products, policies, and regulations to provide members with accurate information.
• Follow security, privacy, and compliance guidelines.
• Handle member night drop and mail submissions securely and promptly.
• Balance the ATM.
• Scan documents, handle coin bags, and support other daily branch operations.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with members, coworkers, and vendors.
• Participate in team meetings and required training.
• Be punctual, prepared, and dependable.
