About The Position

Zions Bank is hiring a Teller to work with members of the community and help them build a better financial future. The role offers an opportunity to develop banking knowledge and gain insight into the bank’s operations, procedures, and services while supporting clients and their financial needs.

The Teller accurately processes debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures and maintains an acceptable balancing record. The role also addresses client needs through a range of banking services, resolves problems, and identifies opportunities to recommend relevant bank products. Minimum pay is $17 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
• Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products based on client needs.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable balancing record.
• Identify and address client needs by providing services such as opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, making money transfers, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
• Resolve client problems through direct action or by referring clients to appropriate branch or bank resources.
• Identify and maximize opportunities to cross-sell bank products by exploring client needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
