About The Position

Zions Bank is hiring a Teller to work with members of the community and help them build a better financial future. The position offers an opportunity to develop banking expertise and learn about the bank’s operations, procedures, products, and services while supporting clients and their everyday financial needs. The Teller accurately processes debit and credit transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures and maintains an acceptable balancing record. The role also identifies client needs, provides a range of banking services, resolves client problems, and identifies opportunities to cross-sell bank products. Minimum pay is $17 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address clients’ needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems directly or refer clients to appropriate branch or bank resources.
Identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities by exploring clients’ needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
