About The Position

The Teller I assists customers with basic banking needs, including processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashier’s checks, loan payments, cash advance requests, and foreign currency exchange. This position is onsite in Hialeah, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of cash handling experience.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer knowledge, including Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Jack Henry training and knowledge of banking laws and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and Patriot Act.

Responsibilities

• Scan every transaction at the teller station, confirm that all fields are correct, and make proof corrections when applicable.
• Buy and sell money to the Lead Teller.
• Maintain the cash limit in the teller drawer.
• Gather CTR information for transactions that exceed the established threshold.
• Process cash advance requests and savings bonds.
• Process loan payments.
• Process bags received from armored couriers.
• Prepare the night depository log.
• Balance the cash drawer daily.
