About The Position

Landmark Credit Union is hiring a part-time Teller I to provide accurate transactional services to members, including receiving and paying out funds in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. The position also explains basic credit union products and services and represents the credit union positively and professionally. This position is 25–28 hours per week, with varying weekday shifts and work every Saturday. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM; and Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM. The role requires standing for long periods. Some duties may involve training at headquarters or an off-site location.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Experience with, or ability to gain proficiency in, all programs and systems used for the job.
Must develop a thorough understanding of applicable company policies and procedures and comply with them, as well as job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt teller and related services while maintaining a balanced cash drawer daily.
Cross-sell other member services.
Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
Assist with balancing the ATM when this is not performed by an outside source.
May train to perform opening and closing duties with a manager on site.
May train to verify checks for other tellers.
May train to perform overrides.
May be cross-trained to help in other branch positions.
May attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
Perform other duties as assigned.
