About The Position

At Landmark Credit Union, the Teller I serves members by handling transactions accurately and providing cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. The role also presents and explains basic credit union products and services and represents the credit union in a positive, professional manner. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with weekday shifts and work every other Saturday. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM; and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The teller may receive training for additional branch duties and may be required to attend training at headquarters or another off-site location.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience with, or ability to gain proficiency in, all programs and systems used for the job.
Ability to develop a thorough understanding of applicable company policies and procedures and comply with them, as well as job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
Ability to stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, courteous, and timely teller and related services, maintaining a balanced cash drawer daily.
Cross-sell other member services.
Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
Assist with balancing the ATM when that task is not performed by an outside source.
May train to perform opening and closing duties with a manager on site.
May train to verify checks for other tellers.
May train to perform overrides.
May be cross-trained to assist in other branch positions.
May attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
Perform other duties as assigned.
