About The Position

The Teller I assists customers with basic banking needs, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashier’s checks, loan payments, cash advance requests, and foreign currency exchange. The position works onsite in Hialeah, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of cash handling experience.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft software, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Jack Henry training and knowledge of banking laws and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and Patriot Act.

Responsibilities

• Scan every transaction at the teller station, confirm that all fields are correct, and make proof corrections when applicable.
• Buy and sell money to the Lead Teller.
• Maintain the cash limit in the teller drawer.
• Gather CTR information for transactions that exceed the established threshold.
• Process cash advance requests and savings bonds.
• Process loan payments.
• Process bags received from armored couriers.
• Prepare the night depository log.
• Balance the cash drawer daily.
