About The Position

Avinext is hiring a full-time, field-based Technology Installation Technician to work alongside experienced technicians on commercial technology projects throughout Texas. The role installs systems such as audio/video equipment, large displays and projectors, security cameras, access control, structured cabling, network infrastructure, equipment racks, and technology rooms. Candidates from hands-on fields are welcome; experience in every technology area is not required, and motivated candidates with a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn will be trained.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office.
• Ability to pass applicable background screening, drug testing, and motor vehicle review.
• Ability to comply with company safety requirements, including safe-driving and drug- and alcohol-free workplace policies.
• Ability to travel overnight when required.
• Dependability, a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Helpful, but not required, experience with audio/video installation, security systems, access control, structured cabling, telecommunications, electrical work, construction trades, maintenance or mechanical work, or IT field support.
• Experience in hands-on work and an interest in building, fixing, or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling.
• Mount displays, speakers, cameras, and access-control devices.
• Read plans and installation drawings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Test installed systems.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Work safely and professionally at customer and construction sites.
• Collaborate with teammates to complete projects.
• Travel for field projects, including overnight travel when required.
