About The Position

The Client Technologist provides tier 3 support for a large enterprise environment, encompassing a large remote user base, and has primary responsibility for client configuration, performance, testing, and security. Reviews and updates trouble tickets, which have been escalated to the Endpoint Management Group as well as Problem Management tasks. They create and disseminate technical knowledge via documentation to internal and external teammates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Windows 7/8.1/10 and 2008/2012 Server
  • Experience creating and administrating Group Policies, using Active Directory, and computer account management
  • Experience in administering Microsoft Office technologies
  • Experience with Internet Explorer and other web browsers along with TCP/IP addressing
  • Experience Active Directory and user account management
  • Experience with Microsoft Development Toolkit
  • MAC OS X experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred, combination of education and progressively responsible work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu of degree (preferred)
  • VBScript, Power Shell, or other scripting experience is preferred
  • MCSE/MCTS/MCDST/MCITP Certification (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Hardware/Software testing
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex Village issues/challenges, including those which require extensive research, analysis, critical thinking, collaboration with other teams both internal and external to IT
  • Experienced and can provide subject matter expertise for endpoint and mobile devices to other teams both internal and external to IT
  • Ability to automate common procedures and maintain existing code encountered in system images or software installations
  • Provide technical mentoring, coaching and documentation (Training, Job aid, Knowledge base articles) to peers and partner organizations
