About The Position

The Technician at Dyer & Dyer Volvo performs vehicle repair and maintenance work according to repair orders, dealership procedures, and factory standards. The role includes diagnosing malfunctions, completing repairs efficiently and accurately, coordinating with the parts department, documenting completed work, and identifying additional safety or service needs. Technicians must promptly communicate with service advisors about work that is unnecessary or cannot be completed within the promised time.

Requirements

• ASE certification or manufacturing training required.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and take them to the stall area.
• Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts when a job is under warranty or when requested by the customer.
• Examine vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
• Immediately notify the service advisor if additional outlined work is not needed or required.
• Immediately notify the service advisor if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document work performed.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
