About The Position

The Technician at Dyer & Dyer Volvo performs vehicle repairs and service work according to repair orders, dealership procedures, and factory standards. The role includes diagnosing malfunctions, completing repairs efficiently and accurately, coordinating with the parts department, and documenting work performed. Technicians also inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and promptly communicate with service advisors about required work or delays.

Requirements

• ASE certification or manufacturing training.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorization to work in the USA.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities safely.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug test, and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and take them to the stall area.
• Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts when a job is under warranty or when requested by the customer.
• Examine vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
• Immediately notify the service advisor if additional outlined work is not needed or required.
• Immediately notify the service advisor if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document work performed.
