About The Position

McDonald Volvo in Littleton is seeking a Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. Compensation is based on flagged hours, with average compensation of $23–$48 per flat-rate hour and potential performance-based bonuses, overtime pay, and incentives. The role requires at least three years of main line technician experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to work with various vehicle makes, models, and sizes. The successful candidate will have mechanical and troubleshooting skills, be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment, and maintain a strong focus on teamwork, flexibility, and customer service. Requirements

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
At least 3 years of main line technician experience.
Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Working knowledge of shop equipment, including wheel and tire equipment, electrical systems, engine equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and AC equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
Tear down, repair, replace, or rebuild faulty assemblies, including power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels, and repair manual and automatic transmissions.
Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs clearly to people without mechanical expertise.
