About The Position
McDonald Hyundai in Highlands Ranch is seeking an experienced main line technician to work in its modern, fully equipped service center. The position is compensated based on flagged hours, with average compensation of $23–$48 per flat-rate hour and potential performance-based bonuses, overtime pay, and other incentives. The technician will diagnose, repair, and rebuild vehicle systems using shop equipment and electronic diagnostic tools, and explain technical findings and required repairs to customers. Requirements
- At least 3 years of main line technician experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to drive and handle vehicles of various makes, models, and sizes.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and AC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, computerized diagnostic devices, and other equipment.
- Tear down, repair, replace, and rebuild faulty assemblies, including power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
- Repair manual and automatic transmissions.
- Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to people without mechanical expertise.
- Operate and work with shop equipment, including wheel and tire equipment, electrical equipment, engine equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and AC equipment.
