About The Position
Bud Clary Auto Group is hiring a full-time, flat-rate technician for its growing Hyundai service department in Auburn. The role pays $25–$65 per flat-rate hour, based on experience. The department offers a supportive working environment with experienced service advisors, a hands-on shop manager, and a loyal customer base. The company seeks technicians who can diagnose and repair vehicles, recommend needed work, and contribute to a high-quality customer service experience. Technicians may also assist with training apprentices or T-10 students when applicable.
Requirements
- Skilled automotive technician able to diagnose, repair, and recommend needed work.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record consistent with company insurance standards throughout employment.

- Experience as a top-performing technician.
- Diesel training from another manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Perform work designated on repair orders and inform the service advisor when additional work is needed.
- Diagnose customer vehicles and complete repairs as needed.
- Describe the cause and correction on each completed repair order.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality of workmanship and test-drive vehicles before and after repairs as needed.
- Inform dispatch or the service advisor of delays that may prevent meeting promised completion times.
- Escalate repairs that could not be duplicated to the shop lead, dispatch, diagnostic specialist, or service manager.
- Return spent parts to the parts department upon completion of work.
- Assist in training and supervising apprentices or T-10 students when applicable.
- Attend training sessions and meetings.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Follow company, WISHA, OSHA, environmental, and other applicable rules, regulations, and automotive laws.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record consistent with company insurance standards.
