About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on rental equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also include large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment makes and models, build skills for a career in service or operations management, and work with a team in a safety-focused environment. Sunbelt Rentals provides on-the-job training for eligible employees. The role may require providing personal trade tools and may require bilingual skills depending on location needs. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide tools of trade.
Bilingual Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
One to three years of technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-line equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
