About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, and repair equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also operate large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role may require providing mechanic’s tools of the trade and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Three to five years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-line equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
