About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may also maintain large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role offers work across a variety of equipment and the opportunity to develop skills for a career track in service or operations management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training.
• Three to five years of mechanic experience with similar diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment.
