About The Position

Eastern Lift Truck Co. is seeking a Forklift Mechanic Apprentice to support its Northern Virginia territory. This entry-level position offers a 6–9-month formal training program with a mentor, combining classroom modules and hands-on shop training. Apprentices learn material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, along with safety standards and customer interaction, in preparation for a career as a Field Service Technician.

Requirements

• Some mechanical experience.

• Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform routine maintenance, diagnose, and repair material handling equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet trucks.
• Complete required training certifications.
• Assist mechanics.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
