About The Position
Eastern Lift Truck Co. is seeking a Forklift Mechanic Apprentice to support its Northern Virginia territory. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to learn material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs through a 6–9-month formal training program with a mentor. Training includes classroom modules and hands-on work in the shop, covering safety standards and customer interactions, and prepares the apprentice for a career as a Field Service Technician.
Requirements
- Some mechanical experience is required.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Learn to perform routine maintenance, diagnose, and repair material handling equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet trucks.
- Complete required training certifications.
- Assist mechanics.
- Strictly adhere to health and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA standards.
