About The Position

We’re Fiserv, a global leader in Fintech and payments, and we move money and information in a way that moves the world. We connect financial institutions, corporations, merchants, and consumers to one another millions of times a day – quickly, reliably, and securely. As a successful Technical Writer, you will assist with maintaining the Omaha Platform suite of 140 client-facing user reference manuals and 200 technical documentation manuals. You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation such as pre-notification communications, instructional guides and reference manuals.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills, including understanding of correct grammar and English usage and the ability to apply such skills are required.
  • Must be able to follow established writing standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Time and organizational management skills in order to successfully complete concurrent projects on schedule.
  • Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
  • Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous background and experience in a technical documentation role.
  • Familiarity and experience working with Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Experience working with Artificial Intelligence to research and summarize documentation content.

Responsibilities

  • Work with technical and business partners to interpret detailed technical designs and determine System changes to communicate to internal and external clients.
  • Identify information needed to complete assignments and to gather that information using available research tools and personnel.
  • Analyze technical and business communications to determine whether planned changes will affect how clients use the System.
  • Determine how planned changes will benefit clients and identify the correct placement of documentation.
  • Use computer knowledge to support understanding of programming design specifications, programming terminology and to promote overall understanding of the Fiserv System.
