About The Position

Join E2 Optics, an award-winning, Woman-Owned technology integrator, as a Technical Training Specialist and contribute to the data center revolution. This role is crucial for administering and effectively transferring knowledge for technical E2IQ Development training programs, including Introductory and Technical Bootcamps, customized technical instruction, and ad hoc tutoring. The specialist will collaborate with leadership to identify training needs, develop new curriculum, and maintain existing content, ensuring alignment with industry practices and company core values. Safety is a paramount concern, and all employees are expected to adhere to safety policies. The role involves developing and delivering training using various media and methodologies, including hands-on approaches that emulate real-world client environments. "Train the Trainer" activities and collaboration with internal disciplines like Operations, Safety, and Quality are also key components. The position requires a commitment to E2 Optics' policies and a positive, professional demeanor. Travel is expected to be between 10-25%, with training conducted at E2 Optics BICSI ATFs and remote sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturer Technical Certifications (i.e., Fluke, Corning, CommScope, etc.)
  • 30hr OSHA required
  • 2+ years construction/telecommunications/data center industry experience with strong background in multiple facets of the technology
  • Familiar with Fluke, Viavi and other testing equipment
  • Solid working knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel training and methodology
  • Ability to read technical specifications and blueprints
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry practices, procedures, codes, standards, and operations
  • Adheres to established policy and procedures for training requests
  • Ability to evaluate training needs, training methods, and development of training strategies

Nice To Haves

  • BICSI Installation certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer and effectively transfer knowledge for technical E2IQ Development training programs.
  • Provide instruction for Introductory and Technical Bootcamps, customized technical instruction, and ad hoc tutoring.
  • Contribute to the development of new training curriculum and maintain updates to existing training content.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to define technical training needs based on required skills/competencies.
  • Deliver effective and timely training events to meet identified needs.
  • Incorporate safety as E2 Optics' number one Core Value into all training practices.
  • Exemplify and promote Core Values to foster and safeguard a family-centric culture.
  • Administer both academic and hands-on training methodologies that closely emulate client expectations.
  • Contribute to developing effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Practice excellence in the transfer of knowledge to trainees using effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of industry practices through engagement in academic, professional, and technical development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines (Operations, Safety, Quality) to design and develop internal technical training programs.
  • Perform "Train the Trainer" activities to develop local technical training capabilities.
  • Work with internal customers to develop standards consistent with training content.
  • Conduct duties in a positive and professional manner consistent with E2 Optics business expectations.
  • Support and promote E2 Optics policies, programs, and services.
