About The Position

As a Technical Solutions Engineer at Visio Lending, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing the technology that powers our business. You'll troubleshoot complex technical issues, maintain and improve engineering systems, and work across software applications, data platforms, reporting, integrations, and internal tools to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. This role is ideal for a technically curious problem solver who enjoys working across a variety of systems, quickly learning new technologies, and leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency. You'll combine sound engineering judgment with emerging technologies to troubleshoot issues, automate repetitive tasks, improve documentation, support testing efforts, and accelerate solution delivery. While this position is not responsible for defining Visio's AI strategy, you'll apply approved AI tools within established security and governance standards to enhance productivity and technical outcomes. A significant portion of the role will focus on supporting and improving our data warehouse, analytics, and reporting environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data analytics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent demonstrable experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, systems analysis, technical operations, DevOps/support engineering, or a closely related technical role
• Demonstrated technical background with the ability to understand software, data, application, integration, and infrastructure issues across multiple systems
• Strong systems analysis skills, including the ability to investigate ambiguous technical problems, isolate likely causes, and communicate findings clearly
• Ability to read and write code, with practical experience in one or more relevant languages such as Python, C#, SQL, or PowerShell
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to query, validate, troubleshoot, and interpret structured data
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and the ability to troubleshoot data pipeline failures, data quality issues, and data movement problems
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, or comparable business intelligence/reporting assets
• Experience debugging APIs, integrations, logs, application errors, and data flow issues
• Experience using Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or comparable source control and work management tools
• Ability to participate in testing, deployment, release validation, and change management activities
• Practical experience using AI tools in technical work, including code review, debugging, documentation, SQL/query support, analysis, and problem-solving
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated output critically and validate results before implementation or recommendation
• Ability to work tickets in a helpdesk/ticketing system, document work performed, and escalate with clear reproduction steps, evidence, and context
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production and development issues across software applications, data systems, reporting platforms, integrations, internal tools, and related engineering workflows
• Maintain and troubleshoot data warehousing, analytics, reporting, and business intelligence systems, including SQL-based data analysis, ETL/ELT pipeline troubleshooting, and Power BI report/dashboard support
• Use AI-enabled tools to assist with code analysis, debugging, SQL/query writing, test generation, documentation, requirements analysis, system design, data analysis, and technical triage, while validating AI-generated output before use
• Read, understand, modify, and write code as needed in support of assigned engineering tasks, primarily using technologies such as Python, C#, SQL, and PowerShell
• Assist with engineering projects across software, data engineering, reporting, Salesforce, Azure, APIs/integrations, DevOps/pipelines, and internal business systems
• Work tickets from a helpdesk/ticketing system, including acknowledgement, triage, troubleshooting, resolution where possible, documentation of actions taken, and escalation when appropriate
• Diagnose technical issues by reviewing logs, system behavior, API responses, data flows, configuration, permissions, user-reported symptoms, and related system evidence
• Participate in deployments, releases, production changes, and validation activities following established approval, change management, and project procedures
• Support monitoring, logs, alerts, and incident triage as part of the broader engineering team effort
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support notes, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, runbooks, and system/process documentation
• Collaborate with senior engineers, data engineers, analysts, software developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions
• Help reduce the operational burden on senior engineers by independently handling appropriately scoped troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation, support, and enhancement work
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to systems, documentation, processes, automation, reporting, security posture, or technical support workflows
• Support responsible and secure AI usage at the direction of the organization's AI leadership or designated AI manager
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs
