About The Position

The purpose of the Technical Sales Associate is to manage bid lists, securing plans and specifications, generating take-offs and project estimates, technical sales support for both Outside Sales team and respective contractors and managing projects to ensure profit targets are obtained.

Requirements

Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel as well as ability to learn job specific software programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent work experience
Commercial HVAC project management experience preferred

Responsibilities

Obtain and review project plans and specifications to determine specific product and services to be included in a binding estimate per the established guidelines.
Obtain special quotations from manufacturers as required for products while maintaining competitive pricing levels and to maximize gross margins.
Coordinate prior approval requests with the engineering services department.
Populate job tracking system with pertinent information including basis of design info, quote values, etc.
Prepare complete and accurate engineering submittals for product being ordered.
Answer application and technical questions as well as general customer service questions from mechanical contractors.
Prepare and generate orders to manufacturers for products being provided on awarded projects.
Manage logistics to ensure product arrives at job site when required.
Maintain proper margin levels and job accuracy to ensure that projects are billed correctly.
Partner with Outside Sales Force and keep them informed concerning product availability, shipping schedules, and over-all job status.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Works cooperatively with others.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
