The Technical Sales Executive reports to the Sales Manager. As a Sales Executive at Berkshire Systems Group, Inc., your primary responsibility is to drive sales and expand our customer base within the ever-evolving Life Safety industry. Strong product knowledge of fire alarm systems, security systems, and communications systems from top manufacturers like Siemens, Vesda, Genetec, Lenel, Panasonic iPro, AMAG, Aiphone, Genetec, Bosch, Honeywell Fire, and Hanwha will form the foundation for success in our Sales department. The Technical Sales Executive will engage with potential commercial clients to understand their Life Safety-related needs and offer winning solutions from our portfolio of products and services. After a job is contracted, the Sales Executive will work closely with our team of Project Managers to ensure successful completion of the job. Our Sales Executives are always willing to go the extra mile for our clients, including regular travel to client sites throughout the state of Pennsylvania. On top of this, the Sales Executive must always be focused on staying current within the evolving nature of Life Safety technology by attending trade shows, conferences, and ambitiously seeking out opportunities for personal and professional growth. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate or better Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
  • Ability to create, read, and interpret blueprints
  • Basic understanding of circuitry
  • Flawless writing skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Relentless desire to learn and grow within the Life Safety industry
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and minimal traffic violations to drive a company vehicle

  • At least 1 year of Life Safety (Fire, Security, Communications systems) experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and expand our customer base within the ever-evolving Life Safety industry
  • Engage with potential commercial clients to understand their Life Safety-related needs and offer winning solutions from our portfolio of products and services
  • Work closely with our team of Project Managers to ensure successful completion of the job
  • Regular travel to client sites throughout the state of Pennsylvania
  • Stay current within the evolving nature of Life Safety technology by attending trade shows, conferences, and ambitiously seeking out opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Understand complex technical concepts
  • Create, read, and interpret blueprints
  • Read and Write Technical Specifications for Engineered Systems Projects
  • Conduct Presentations for Potential Customers and Electrical Engineers
  • Understand low voltage system architecture to build accurate equipment lists and bills of materials for project estimating
  • Hunt for sales opportunities within the commercial scope of our business
  • Craft winning proposals and bids with fair, honest pricing
  • Communicate effectively with clients and decision-makers
  • Demonstrate industry expertise through continued education in Fire, Security, and Communications system manufacturer trainings and industry certifications
  • Seek and share information to benefit our Sales team and the company as a whole
  • Follow through on sales with our team of skilled Project Managers until project completion
