The Technical Sales Executive's primary responsibility is to drive sales and expand the customer base within the ever-evolving Life Safety industry. This role requires strong product knowledge of fire alarm systems, security systems, and communications systems from top manufacturers like Siemens, Vesda, Genetec, Lenel, Panasonic iPro, AMAG, Aiphone, Bosch, Honeywell Fire, and Hanwha. The Sales Executive will engage with potential commercial clients to understand their Life Safety-related needs and offer winning solutions from the company's portfolio of products and services. After a job is contracted, the Sales Executive will work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful completion. The role involves regular travel to client sites throughout Pennsylvania and a commitment to staying current with evolving Life Safety technology by attending trade shows, conferences, and seeking professional growth opportunities. The company supports this role with leadership that fosters growth and autonomy, a collaborative sales team, office space as a "home base," a company vehicle (including AAA, fuel card, maintenance, parking, tolls), a laptop, tablet, company-paid iPhone, access to necessary trainings and certifications, and all necessary tools and equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate or better Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
  • Ability to create, read, and interpret blueprints
  • Basic understanding of circuitry
  • Flawless writing skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Relentless desire to learn and grow within the Life Safety industry
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and minimal traffic violations

Nice To Haves

  • Bluebeam program experience a plus
  • At least 1 year of Life Safety (Fire, Security, Communications systems) experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Understanding complex technical concepts
  • Creating, reading, and interpreting blueprints
  • Ability to Read and Write Technical Specifications for Engineered Systems Projects
  • Conduct Presentations for Potential Customers and Electrical Engineers
  • Understand low voltage system architecture to build accurate equipment lists and bills of materials for project estimating
  • Hunting for sales opportunities within the commercial scope of our business
  • Crafting winning proposals and bids with fair, honest pricing
  • Communicating effectively with clients and decision-makers
  • Demonstrating industry expertise through continued education in Fire, Security, and Communications system manufacturer trainings and industry certifications
  • Seeking and sharing information to benefit our Sales team and the company as a whole
  • Following through on sales with our team of skilled Project Managers until project completion
  • Regular travel to client sites throughout the state of Pennsylvania
