About The Position

Crosswalk Health is seeking its first Technical Program Manager to turn the engineering roadmap into scoped, sequenced, and deliverable sprint work. The TPM will own the engineering work lifecycle, from scoping through delivery, and help engineers work from an actionable backlog. This is a build-from-scratch role on a lean, fast-moving team, requiring close collaboration across departments and a trusted partnership with engineering leadership. The position reports directly to the Director of Engineering, Carli Miller. The TPM will create program management practices suited to the team, manage dependencies, protect scope, and communicate realistic delivery expectations and tradeoffs. The role also involves using AI tools to understand the codebase and workflows and accounting for healthcare compliance and data-sensitivity considerations, including PHI, when planning work.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a closely related role.
  • Proven ability to take work from roadmap to scoped backlog to sprint and manage it through delivery.
  • Comfort coordinating with multiple stakeholders and departments to manage dependencies and keep commitments.
  • Ability to judge what is realistic, maintain scope boundaries, and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
  • Comfort using AI tools to reason about problems and get unstuck.
  • Enthusiasm for building processes from scratch on a lean team.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or health technology experience, including familiarity with PHI, data sensitivity, and healthcare compliance; this is not required for the right candidate.

  • Coordinate across departments to account for dependencies and keep deliverables on track.
  • Set boundaries to prevent scope creep and communicate realistic delivery expectations and tradeoffs.
  • Create program management practices appropriate for a lean, fast-moving team.
  • Use AI tools, including AI coding assistants, to understand the repository and workflows and to get unblocked.
  • Account for compliance and data-sensitivity considerations, such as PHI, when scoping and sequencing work.

Benefits

  • Medical coverage with Crosswalk paying 100% of the premium for every tier of its HDHP, covering employees and dependents at no cost.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Remote-first team; company-wide gatherings twice a year and an in-person team meeting once a year.
  • 12 weeks of parental leave.
  • Unlimited PTO and 10 company holidays.
