About The Position

Canopy Aerospace & Defense (A&D) is focused on accelerating the future of advanced materials for space, defense, and maritime systems. They provide specialized materials and components from concept through sustainment, utilizing advanced signal attenuation technologies and production-scale manufacturing to create faster, cooler, and quieter platforms. Canopy Technologies' mission is to engineer materials and solutions that enable strategic platforms to operate under extreme conditions, such as re-entry from space, interplanetary travel, and hypersonic weapons. Their engineering expertise centers on extreme environment materials designed to withstand heat, corrosive environments, and the harshness of space. As a Technical Program Manager at Canopy Technologies, you will lead cross-functional teams in delivering innovative thermal protection solutions from concept to production. You will act as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables. This dynamic role also involves supporting front-end program development and capture, collaborating with Growth and Engineering teams to translate customer needs into executable programs. Responsibilities include developing proposals, defining engineering requirements, and managing the transition of new programs from acquisition to execution. A key aspect of this role is engaging with prospective customers on a technical level to shape new opportunities and establish a foundation for successful program delivery. This position is crucial for advancing Canopy Technologies' mission in developing cutting-edge thermal protection technologies by coordinating joint development efforts, managing program risks, and driving informed decision-making across the organization.
