The successful candidate will be responsible for Program Management in our GSOC Hardware Program Management Office. This role involves managing and taking responsibility for multiple small programs/technologies with moderate complexity or a single complex program/technology by applying up-to-date program management knowledge to meet deadlines. The role requires collaboration with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop goals, set prioritization of deliverables, and discuss necessary priorities and stakeholder needs. A key aspect of this role is building and managing the execution of the Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope) for the programs/projects, which includes schedule, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, infrastructure setup, test plan coordination and prioritization. The candidate will track and manage all key metrics pertaining to a program, identify when metrics deviate significantly from the Plan of Record, escalate issues in a timely manner, and propose corrective actions. This role also involves managing and prioritizing the work of the program team by establishing schedules, task assignments, and tracking tasks of team members. Coordination of multiple cross-functional teams on assigned tasks with guidance and maintaining progress in tracking systems is essential. Identifying program issues/risks and creating a risk mitigation plan for multiple small programs or a single medium-sized or complex program, while maintaining and updating the risk tracker, is also a core responsibility. The role includes promoting program vision and objectives within the team, ensuring program objectives are met or exceeded, and representing the program to drive alignment across stakeholders. Monitoring budget/spending, on-time delivery, and achievement of program milestones are critical. The candidate will support the compliance of processes by following best practices and procedures and providing observations for process improvement. Developing engineering-based performance indicators/metrics geared towards risk identification, assessment, and quantification, and ensuring adherence to Test plan tracker, Sign-off checklists, etc., is required. Partnering with the Chipset team for allocation of HW platforms and parts to end users across worldwide sites, considering project priorities and monitoring of platform usage, and planning the allocation and deployment under applicable constraints are key functions. Finally, partnering with Engineering and Program Management leads to drive continuous improvement by coordinating Project Lessons Learnt sessions and participating in initiatives is expected.
