Technical Product Manager - Payments

Felix Technologies, Inc.•San Francisco, CA
•$170,000 - $220,000•Remote

About The Position

Félix is seeking a hands-on, technically fluent Product Manager to build and scale its next-generation payments platform. The platform moves money from customer funding through settlement with banking partners and supports multiple Félix products requiring money movement. The role owns the payment orchestration layer and its ecosystem, including processors, banking and settlement partners, tokenization, and reconciliation. The Product Manager will work closely with Engineering to build real-time systems and own business metrics such as authorization rate, processing cost, and GMV, while improving conversion, reliability, and unit economics in a high-growth, ambiguous environment. Félix is building a financial companion for Latinos in the United States, combining an AI-powered conversational interface with financial infrastructure for cross-border money movement and other services. The company describes itself as a hyper-growth Series C company with over $300 million in funding. The role is remote, with offices in Miami and Mexico City and the possibility of hybrid work.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, focused on payments, ideally as a primary builder in a fast-paced startup or growth environment.
  • Technical fluency and resourcefulness, including experience with API-based payment solutions, ability to run simple SQL queries, and understanding of data pipelines and system resilience, such as timeouts, fallbacks, and service dependencies.
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including orchestration, processors and PSPs, acquiring and banking partners, card networks, authorization and settlement flows, tokenization, and reconciliation; alternatively, a track record of rapidly developing deep knowledge in a new technical area.
  • Experience owning payment performance metrics such as authorization rate, conversion, processing cost, and GMV, and using them to drive product improvements.
  • Strong ownership and bias toward action, with comfort working hands-on rather than delegating.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with fraud, finance, compliance, executive teams, and external partners.
  • Passion for fintech and digital finance innovation.
  • Equivalent competencies in the listed areas may also be considered.

  • Own reconciliation and settlement health across processors and banking partners, working toward automation.
  • Analyze payment data and metrics, use dashboards and SQL to validate hypotheses, and work with Data Analysts and Engineers to improve conversion, acceptance, and authorization.
  • Partner with Engineering to design, build, and launch payment methods and integrations across cards, wallets, ACH, cash, additional processors, and settlement banks.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Operations on scalable solutions involving reconciliation, treasury, revenue recognition, payment operations, and disputes.
  • Coordinate with Fraud to monitor fraud performance by payment method and provide data for fraud checkpoints.
