About The Position

Rootstock Software is hiring a technical, hands-on marketer to own paid acquisition and the growth engine that generates roughly half of its top-of-funnel pipeline. The role owns a budget of hundreds of thousands of dollars in Google Ads and AdRoll spend, makes data-backed allocation and scaling decisions, and builds growth assets such as web pages, experiments, integrations, and automation using Claude Code. It also encompasses technical SEO, conversion optimization, performance measurement, AI and review-site discoverability, and support for content and campaigns. The position is remote. The posting identifies the role as US-based and says candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship, extension, or transfer is unavailable. The ideal candidate has several years of growth, digital, paid, or performance marketing experience, or associate-level marketing consulting experience, and is comfortable owning budgets and communicating outcomes to leadership. Rootstock offers base salary, an annual bonus, and a long-term incentive plan. Base pay varies by market location and individualized candidate factors.

Requirements

  • Ideally 3 to 5 years of growth, digital, paid, or performance marketing experience at a startup or B2B software company, or associate-level consulting experience focused on marketing strategy and execution.
  • Direct ownership of advertising spend and paid budgets in Google Ads, AdRoll, or similar, with accountability for results.
  • A technical, builder mindset, including experimentation with Claude Code or similar AI tools and comfort with automation, spreadsheets, SQL, or scripting.
  • Technical SEO experience, including keyword strategy and conversion optimization.
  • Strong analytical ability and data-driven decision-making.
  • A scrappy, high-ownership approach, comfort running multiple experiments, and willingness to work through daily performance data.
  • Ability to own a meaningful business metric and communicate results clearly to leadership.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis; candidates who will require visa sponsorship at any point are not eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Own paid performance across Google Ads and AdRoll, targeting ICP terms and accounts, scaling spend into the hundreds of thousands, and making incremental spend decisions based on data.

  • Build and iterate on web pages, integrations, and automation using Claude Code.
  • Track performance across channels, develop reporting to support spend decisions, and present results to leadership.
  • Manage Rootstock's presence on G2 and similar review sites, including how the company is surfaced and recommended by AI tools.
