About The Position

The Office of the CTO for Strategy & Customer Zero is seeking a Technical Content Lead to translate complex technology initiatives and enterprise security architectures into engaging content. The role develops communications for three audiences: the Customer Zero team, strategic customers and their executives through the Executive Sponsor Program, and the CTO for Strategy. Content may include technical whitepapers, vision documents, strategic briefs, blogs, FAQs, guidebooks, reference architectures, executive talking points, webinars, and conference materials. The Technical Content Lead works with Identity engineering and architecture teams to turn Okta’s internal technology adoption and deployment lessons into customer-facing stories and practical guidance. The role also partners with the CTO for Strategy to explain technology vision, product direction, long-term roadmaps, market positioning, and zero-trust AI architectures. Collaboration with Marketing, Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and Product helps ensure content is technically sound, aligned with brand standards and compliance requirements, and relevant to go-to-market strategies. The position also influences content architecture, messaging frameworks, and publication workflows.

  • Proven ability to partner with Legal, Marketing, Sales, and executive leadership teams on complex review processes and sensitive communications.
  • Ability to understand complex cloud, enterprise security, API, and digital identity concepts and explain them accurately to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to create concise, compelling content from technical material without losing its original intent, challenge narratives to identify the best approach, and meet publication standards and guidance.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership, able to lead multifaceted documentation projects from concept to completion under dynamic timelines and work effectively with stakeholders holding different perspectives.
