About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a remote, contract Senior Technical Analyst to provide hands-on technical analysis and production support for an AWS High-Performance Compute Platform. The role focuses on troubleshooting highly complex integrated systems, diagnosing issues, determining root causes, and identifying solutions. It is an individual-contributor role; applicants should not be managers or architects. The analyst will support applications running on Kubernetes and HPC clusters, maintain observability pipelines, implement monitoring and alerting, and participate in production incident response. The position also involves coordinating with application, infrastructure, platform engineering, security, and business teams; documenting operational procedures; and training and mentoring technical support staff and end users. Periodic on-call coverage is required during specified weekday time windows.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments; EKS is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Docker container-runtime troubleshooting.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting HPC environments, including job schedulers and parallel-computing frameworks.
  • Experience integrating HPC workloads with containerized and Kubernetes environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience building and managing dashboards and alerts with CloudWatch and Container Insights.
  • Familiarity with AWS cost and performance optimization for compute-heavy workloads.
  • Proven experience building observability pipelines covering metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Hands-on Grafana experience for dashboarding and visualization.
  • Experience configuring production alert thresholds and application health checks.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks for data-pipeline health support, job monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong production-support experience, including root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
  • Comfort working in on-call rotations and responding urgently to critical incidents.
  • Experience creating and maintaining runbooks and standard operating procedures for support handoffs.
  • Experience delivering technical training to technical support staff and non-technical end users.
  • Strong documentation skills, including training guides, SOPs, and onboarding materials.
  • Ability to conduct live walkthroughs and demonstrations of dashboards, alerting systems, and troubleshooting workflows.
  • Understanding of security and compliance considerations for observability tools, including logging, data retention, and access controls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and facilitate effective training sessions for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Patient and effective teaching and mentoring skills, including the ability to repeat or simplify technical concepts as needed.
  • Strong collaboration skills across support, platform engineering, security, and end-user groups.
  • Ability to work independently and help build team capability through training.
  • Ability to conduct involved, independent research and develop creative work products and proposals.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed or virtual organization.
  • Strong experience in Agile delivery, requirements engineering, backlog development and refinement, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and providers of software solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of application and data modeling techniques, with the ability to identify root causes and appropriate solutions.
  • Strong experience working in an Agile environment and the SAFe framework, and with Agile management tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent analytical and design skills.
  • Willingness to be on call periodically Monday through Friday, either 8 a.m.–2 p.m. ET or 2 p.m.–8 p.m. ET.
  • W2 candidates only.
