About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a remote Technical Analyst for a W2 contract role. The position provides hands-on technical analysis and troubleshooting for highly complex integrated systems on an AWS High-Performance Compute Platform. The role is explicitly not intended for managers or architects. The analyst provides production support for applications running on Kubernetes and HPC clusters, including incident triage, root-cause analysis, resolution, monitoring, and operational readiness. The work includes maintaining observability pipelines and monitoring systems, coordinating with application, infrastructure, platform engineering, security, and compliance teams, and documenting runbooks and support procedures. The position also involves training and mentoring technical support staff and end users, preparing training and onboarding materials, and facilitating walkthroughs of dashboards, alerting systems, and troubleshooting workflows. The analyst works with stakeholders and distributed teams in an Agile environment and may participate in weekday on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments; EKS is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Docker container-runtime troubleshooting.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting High-Performance Computing environments, including job schedulers and parallel computing frameworks.
  • Experience integrating HPC workloads within containerized or Kubernetes environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience building and managing dashboards and alerts using CloudWatch and Container Insights.
  • Familiarity with AWS cost and performance optimization for compute-heavy workloads.
  • Proven experience building observability pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Hands-on Grafana dashboarding and visualization experience.
  • Experience configuring alert thresholds and health-check mechanisms for production applications.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks for data pipeline health support, job monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong production incident management, root-cause analysis, and incident-resolution experience.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond urgently to critical incidents.
  • Experience creating and maintaining runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience delivering technical training to technical support staff and non-technical end users.
  • Strong documentation skills, including training guides, SOPs, and onboarding materials.
  • Understanding of security and compliance considerations in observability tooling, including logging, data retention, and access controls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and facilitate training sessions.
  • Patient and effective teaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts as needed.
  • Strong collaboration skills across support, platform engineering, security, and end-user teams.
  • Ability to work independently and build team capability through training.
  • Strong experience in Agile delivery, requirements engineering, backlog development and refinement, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working in Agile and SAFe environments and with Agile management tools such as Jira.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and software solution providers.
  • Broad knowledge of application and data modeling techniques and the ability to identify root causes and appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and design skills, customer-service orientation, and ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed or virtual organization.
  • Willingness to be on call periodically during 8 a.m.–2 p.m. ET or 2 p.m.–8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
