About The Position

The Technical Analyst - AV Technologies will join CIBC's Technology & Operations group and manage the bank's complex audio-visual environment. The role delivers AV technology supporting CIBC businesses and customers, providing solutions aligned with business strategies through in-house systems development and collaboration with technology partners. It also supports day-to-day operational management of the AV Technology organization, with an integrated focus on operations, service delivery, planning, and supporting processes. The successful candidate serves as an AV engineer and subject-matter expert, applying industry knowledge to resolve incidents, design solutions, and identify continuous improvements. The role includes vendor and service governance, policy and standards adherence throughout product and service lifecycles, and engineering consultation and leadership for enterprise voice services, including lifecycle management, technology currency, and optimization.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in AV technologies.
Technical experience with Crestron/Flex, Evertz, Surface Hubs, Dante, and Biamp.
Technical experience with unified communications technologies, including Office 365, Skype, Cisco Voice, and Teams.
Familiarity with network technologies, including Wi-Fi, Power over Ethernet, and firewall/security applications.
Familiarity with smart building technologies, including wayfinding, room booking, and building control.
Ability to work well with clients.
Engineering diploma or degree in a discipline relevant to the position.
Strong attention to detail, work ethic, patience, and ability to work under pressure.

Experience or knowledge of Haivision, Robin, and EMS.
Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Surface Hubs, Dante, Biamp DSP, IPTV, headsets, webcams, speakers, and assisted listening systems.
Cisco networking experience, ideally with the Catalyst series.
Broadcast technologies experience.
AQAV9000, Crestron, Evertz, Cisco Networking, or Dante certifications.
AQAV9000 CQD or CQT certification.

Responsibilities

Manage CIBC's complex AV environment and deliver AV technology supporting its businesses and customers.
Provide AV engineering expertise and act as a subject-matter expert for incident resolution, solution design, and continuous improvement.
Support the day-to-day operational management of the AV Technology organization, including operations, service delivery, planning, and supporting processes.
Ensure policies and standards are followed throughout product and service lifecycles.
Conduct routine vendor operational governance management.
Provide engineering consultation and leadership for enterprise voice solutions, service lifecycle management, technology currency, and optimization.
